The open-style seamless gutters on Steve's home in Freeport, MN had a rough winter. After a few years of wear and tear, they were finally reaching the end of their useful life. Some pieces were disconnecting from the fascia and falling off, and others were sagging from all the record snow. When Steve came across our booth at the St. Cloud Farm Show, he knew we could help him find a solution. Kevin Feldewerd, our regional salesman, was set for an appointment with him a week later. 

With Steve's style of home, only one side of the home really needed seamless gutter protection. The 57 feet of rooflines would need 6 pieces of gutter, with 5 of the 6 being set up with a miter to make it around a corner. One higher 11-foot section of the gutter would be connected by a downspout along the siding into a lower garage piece. The into-gutter connection would span 10 feet and eliminate an unnecessary downspout while ensuring 100% water capture between the two runs.

The open-style seamless gutters on Jane's home in Freeport, MN were starting to show their wear and tear and filled up easily with leaves. After talking with Jason, our owner, at the St. Cloud Farm Show, she was willing to set up an estimate for a complete gutter replacement. Kevin Feldewerd, our Minnesota salesman, stopped by Jane's home just a few days after the show to take measurements and draw up a full plan. 

Jane's seamless gutter system was fully connected around her entire home. All 8 pieces totaled up to 265 feet of roofline that needed to be covered. To properly drain the entire roof's worth of water, 6 downspouts would be installed to replace the old ones. Several would be lined up to directly drain into existing drain tile systems, while the other 3 would be equipped with our tip-up downspout extension to make it easy to lift the extensions off the walkways when needed. Furthermore, every downspout would be attached to the gutter with a wide mouth outlet, doubling the drainage capacity compared to the old downspouts. 

Kevin also quoted an option for us to install a quality gutter cover onto all 265 feet if that was the more feasible route for Jane, yet our downspout replacement plan would stay the same.
