Gutter Protection
This gutter is set up to not only protect this homeowner Garage, his driveway as well. By keeping the rain from falling off the roof at a volume that will start to deteriorate the payment below.
Back Yards
This is a great picture to show that for a while there was no gutters on the back of this house. The water all collecting on the roof and falling down two stories allows for a lot of velocity behind the water. It gives the water more room to bounce up and splash against the side of the house. The very first row of siding you can see has had some water damage or rot happening as the homeowner had to repair it or paint it to keep it protected.
Under Ground Drain
This downspout is running down the side of the house to a drain basin. underground attached to this basin is a drain tile tubing that will carry the water away from the house and out into the yard where it run out worry free.
Hinged Downspout Extensions
This run of downspout runs down out into the yard. To make it as easy as possible for the homeowner, Here at Gutter Shutter we like to use Hinge kickers, as we call them. This allows the homeowner to flip the extension up out of the way. This is most handy when mowing the lawn or a heavy traffic area where lots of people are walking around/over it.
